Hours

Mary Lake Montessori is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Preschool hours are 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Schedule

Approximate School Year Schedule for Preschoolers

7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.	Free choice, children arriving
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.	Preschool program - Throughout the course of the morning, each classroom incorporates the following activities: group time for discussion of calendar, topic of the week, attendance, stories, songs, snack, art projects, outside play and individual activity time for working on math and language, sensorial and practical life lessons. (There is no outside play for the afternoon session.)
11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.	Lunch, story
12:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.	Nap time/quiet activity (For those children under 5 years old, nap time is required.)
2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.	Story, snack
2:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.	Outside play, free play
(3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.	Snack for afterschool care children)

Approximate School Year Schedule for Afterschoolers

3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.	Arrival, snack
3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.	Outside play, planned activity, free play, opportunity to do homework

Summer Schedule
Throughout the day, art activities, free choice and outside play, as well as, weekly field trips for the Afterschool children are scheduled. Children are divided into age-appropriate groups and age-appropriate activities are planned. Preschoolers follow the same schedule as the school year program.
